Painkiller

The cocktail born in a beach bar on White Bay, Jost Van Dyke, and now drunk all over the Caribbean: dark rum with pineapple and orange juice, cream of coconut and nutmeg.

  • Serves 1
  • 5 min

Ingredients

  • 60 ml dark rum
  • 120 ml pineapple juice
  • 30 ml orange juice
  • 30 ml cream of coconut
  • Freshly grated nutmeg
  • Ice

How to make it at home

  1. Put the rum, juices and cream of coconut in a cocktail shaker with ice.
  2. Shake hard for a few seconds.
  3. Serve in a glass with ice.
  4. Finish with grated nutmeg on top.

The trick: The freshly grated nutmeg isn’t decoration: it’s half the flavour.
