What is the largest ski resort in Spain?
Baqueira-Beret, in the Aran Valley. In Andorra, Grandvalira is the largest ski area in the Pyrenees.
Where can you ski near Madrid?
In the Guadarrama mountains there is Valdesquí, a small resort. For something bigger, the Sierra Nevada or the Aragonese Pyrenees.
When does the ski season start?
It usually opens in early December and runs until Easter, always depending on each year’s snow.
Which resort is best for children?
Grandvalira in Andorra, Formigal in Aragon or Valdezcaray in La Rioja, with beginners’ areas and ski schools.
