Frequently asked questions
What are the most beautiful villages in Italy?
Those of Cinque Terre and the Amalfi Coast, Taormina, Alberobello, Matera, the villages on Lake Como and those of the Dolomites.
When is the best time to go?
In May, June and September: good weather and fewer people than in July and August, when the coast gets crowded.
Cinque Terre or the Amalfi Coast?
Cinque Terre is more for walking between villages; the Amalfi Coast is more elegant, with roads above the sea and boats between towns. Both are worth the trip.
