Where will the 2027 total eclipse be visible?
Along a path that crosses the Strait of Gibraltar and North Africa as far as Egypt and the Arabian Peninsula. In Spain it will be total at the southern tip of Andalusia, around the Strait; the rest of the country will see a partial eclipse.
Why is 2027 a Holy Year in Santiago?
Because 25 July, St James's Day, falls on a Sunday. Throughout the year the Holy Door of Santiago Cathedral is open and the Camino welcomes more pilgrims than ever.
Which cities are European Capitals of Culture in 2027?
Évora, in Portugal, and Liepāja, in Latvia. Throughout the year they host exhibitions, concerts and cultural events.
