Dubrovnik highlights

The places you can’t miss. In the app we sort them by day and close to each other.

  1. City walls

Two kilometres of walls around the old town; go first thing or late in the day to avoid the heat and the crowds.

  2. Stradun

Dubrovnik’s main street, of polished stone, between the Pile Gate and the old harbour.

  3. Cable car

A cable car up Mount Srđ: the view of the walled city from above, best at sunset.

  4. Lokrum

An island of pines and peacocks 15 minutes away by boat, with rocks for swimming and a salt lake.

  • 1 h 15 min

Ingredients

  • 1 l milk
  • 6 eggs
  • 150 g sugar (plus 100 g for the caramel)
  • 1 tablespoon of rose liqueur or rose water (or cherry liqueur)

How to make it at home

  1. Make a caramel with 100 g sugar and coat the bottom of a mould.
  2. Heat the milk with the vanilla and zest and leave to cool slightly.
  3. Beat the eggs with the sugar, add the strained milk and the liqueur.
